Linking up with prominent food corporations, food industry groups and
public relations agencies for fund-raising events is a major goal of the New
York Women's Culinary Alliance. It's a way for the sponsoring company to tap
into the talents of Alliance members to help create a recipe brochure, reach
influential gatekeepers in the food industry, and stage cook-ins to promote
consumer products to food professionals. At the same time, these promotions
not only further education for its members but also garner funds to help support
the Alliance's Community Service Outreach Program.
