Roman-Jewish Inspired Dishes: A Traditional Dinner

Thursday, November 14, 2019, 6:00 - 8:00 PM

 Member Jacquie Greaves’s Residence, Manhattan

$35 per Member, $45 per Guest

Join us for a warm, festive, and delicious evening with Alliance members Jacquie Greaves and Claire Treves Brezel. We will gather  at Jacquie’s Upper West Side home for a sumptuous dinner of Roman-Jewish inspired dishes.

Jacquie, who has lived in Rome and visits Italy multiple times every year, is an avid cook, with extensive knowledge of Italian food and culture. In addition to cooking, Jacquie has done book presentations at the Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimo (NYU) Preserving Italy by Domenica Marchetti; and Tasting Rome by Katie Parla and Kristina Gill.

Claire Treves Brezel is a fifth-generation co-owner of her family’s homestead and villa rental, Casale Sonnino located near Rome. Last April, several NYWCA members enjoyed the Gardens, Ghettos and Gastronomy itinerary, where they made the famous Carciofialla Giudia with a local chef - in addition to touring and eating very well! Claire loves sharing her unique history and culinary traditions with adventuresome travelers. Her parents were Italian Jews from Rome (Trastevere) and Turin.
